The woman beaten during a Rufus Du Sol concert at the Rose Bowl in Southern California is suing the venue and her attacker.
Attorneys for the victim, Shelby Elston, said she is still suffering from her injuries, and it has cost her thousands of dollars in medical bills.
Elston was beaten unconscious during the attack back in August. The video of the attack went viral when it was posted on Facebook.
The complaint alleges negligence from the Rose Bowl, saying its staff failed to have "sufficient security in place."
The incident reportedly lasted around 10 minutes.
"Independent witnesses have confirmed that the security staff that was on-hand was very close, was very close to the actual attack itself, and did not intervene," Elston's attorney Andrew Talebi said. "What we hope is both justice for our clients, hopefully a change in policy at the Rose Bowl that they take security and their staffing a little bit more seriously."
Elston is also suing the suspect, Julio Cesar Lopez Zavala, for battery. Zavala was arrested and pleaded not guilty to two counts of felony assault.
